Great stay! Super friendly and accommodating staff.

Loved the Location, situated in a very green and lush part of the Island. Loved walking around the resort and lounging near the pool area. Breakfast buffet was great. The restaurant had a great view of the ocean while having breakfast.

The resort itself, rooms etc. is a little dated and could use a bit of renovation. I enjoyed the Thai place but It would be great to have more food choice on site.

Amazing

the room view was amazing and magical and it was really clean and comfy, The housekeeping was also very professional in maintaining the room and responded very quickly to any request, the resort is a very welcoming place really love the stay

The food was not great I will not say bad it was fair there were not too many options in the available restaurants, and it was not expensive as a good point, it didn't bother me too much because I went mainly for the nature, not the food so anything to not be hungry was enough for me but they can work more on this part. just a note the beaches generally in Langkawi are not the best if you are really into swimming and snorkeling this is not related to this resort this is the whole island of Langkawi the water is clean or not depends too much on whether the ocean is tied so I couldn't do any snorkeling even on any island around Langkawi, it didn't disappoint me too much because I knew this before I went, but I had a little hope, the beach are normal for just normal swimming

Amazing place to stay!

We loved the Dusky Leaf monkeys, which live in the resort! Super cute! Also, the staff was always very helpful, trying to cater to our needs. Complimentary minibar once per day is also very good.

The only reason this is not a 10/10 for us is the sea. It was murky and a bit smelly. The beach is superb, tho! We spent our whole vacation in the resort's pool, which was nice. We also didn't appreciate guests feeding the wildlife, which was explicitly prohibited by hotel staff, but nobody spoke up to guests when they were doing it.

Great location. Fabulous resort and super friendly staff

The helpfulness of the staff. My husband is disabled and they all went out of their way to make our holiday a fabulous one. Seeing the monkeys every day was exciting too. We actually stayed 9 nights having changed rooms but it all went smoothly.

It is not wheelchair friendly. The staff did what they could to help but it was very difficult to get anywhere.

What was the highlight of Berjaya Langkawi Resort

Highly recommended!

The resort is fantastic, we stayed in a rainforest chalet, with the nature all around us. We even have seen lizards and monkeys - and those were the friendly ones, not agressive at all. The c/i was very smooth and all extra requests were really accomodated - my friend had a very bad back, so our room was exchanged for one, which had less stairs and closer to the central area. The mattresses were a bit lumpy at first, but they were immediately replaced when requested and much more comfortable. The room was great and we always just had to pick up the phone, if we needed more towels or some extra water - or a shuttle to the room. The breakfast was fantastic, many options to choose from, all made fresh, and I even had the option for glutenfree bread, pancakes and cereal, as I am celiac. There are multiple restaurants and bars in the resort, all with great options and the chefs were always accomodating my dietery requests, even preparing me a complimentary malay meal. The location of the resort is really great, close to the cable car and waterfalls, and it also has a private beach and several swimming pools. The staff was one of the best I ever encountered - everyone was very nice, professional, always smiling and helpful with anything we needed. We really felt cared for. I would return any time - hope that I will have the chance.

What wasn’t there to like

It’s a bit far from the city, however the priority of my trip wasn’t to be in the city but to rather relax at the resort so it was perfect!

The property location, staff, and facilities are good and the resort is beautiful The problem is the the all inclusive package. it does not worth at all. The restaurants make you really fill bad. You have a limited option menu and drinks ( alcoholic and non alcoholic ) are not included. they will treat you like you are asking for free meal, it is not like you paid already and actually you will end up paying more except you limit yourself during your vacation. Among the restaurants the best for lunch is the Indian restaurant. For dinner, the Thai but if you want to choose the food you like you need to pay more at Thai restaurant.

The island and tourist attractions offered outshone the whole trip ; making the stay not as bad as it had been. For nature lovers who don't mind mosquitos and keeping locked indoors due to the monkeys in the forest at your door step; this would be the ideal getaway. Also, no reception at times.

We opted for the Rainforest Chalet. What i didn't expect was a pent up, cumbersome approach of trvelling from room to lobby. Even food was not easy to get by, especially when our only choice is from the restaurant. Also not too fond of the coffee and water given...for such a way off room and distance to the lobby, they could have given more bottles and sachets. of the 2 rooms booked, one didnt even have a filled minibar ; forget full minibar.

great relaxing getaway, perfect for families.

Great facilities and helpful staff. Great food and location on the island. The kids loved the beach with safe swim area and the big pool. When we did have a problem with the room lock, maintenance attended immediately.

A glorious few nights at the Berjaya

We loved our stay at the Berjaya, in the rainforest chalet. Staff were friendly and attentive. Beautiful location - stunning beach exclusive to hotel. Short walk to cable car, which is a highlight of Langkawi. Able to rent scooter from Berjaya, which was problem free and fairly priced, enabling us to visit the rest of the island. Impressed by all restaurants, and especially the excellent breakfast selection. Particularly impressive night time band, d-Harmony. Would highly recommend all inclusive. Could not recommend this property highly enough.

They have a bbq dinner that you do yourself that was very authentic and a wonderful experience

Other than the manager from the pool bar who also was in charge of this bbq dinner, no one else in the staff felt like they would even try to do something if it wasn’t exactly on the menu or within their area of job. Hospitality wasn’t great

Amazing hotel. The views were amazing. So scenic. The staff were very polite and helpful. The food included in the hotel package was so tasty. Would definitely recommend a visit. Great location as well to be surrounded by natural beauty and for cable cars etc.

The hotel and the surroundings have a nice relaxing...

The hotel and the surroundings have a nice relaxing atmosphere.

Unfortunately the (private!) beach was so dirty! Plastic and rubbish everywhere. We asked the beach boys but they didn’t seem interested in cleaning the beach. On our third day there we started cleaning the beach ourselves and informed the manager. Only then the beach staff started to do something about it. This really needs to improve otherwise you will scare all the tourists away.
